Junior
Junior development is overseen by the Bucks Schools Badminton Association. Their website is www.bucks juniorbadminton.co.uk. The BSBA runs the Under 13, 15 and 17 teams which are entered in the Shires League as well as playing friendly matches. It also runs an Under 11 team which plays friendly matches.

The Shires League, set up in 1983 by Malcolm Campbell with the original aim of promoting junior badminton in the Midlands, organises County matches at Under 13, 15 & 17 age groups. Due to the increased number of counties that have joined the league in recent years, members are split into four geographical groups (A, B, C & D).

Counties play each other either home or away. Teams consist of four boys and four girls, playing a total of 20 matches, each the best of 3 games using rally point scoring. The best two counties from each of the four groups are then invited to the Shires League Finals, which this season will take place during the month of April.
